Physician Information

DR. JEREMY KORMAN is a nationally recognized general and bariatric surgeon, and Director of Bariatric Surgery at the Miracle Mile Outpatient Surgery Center. Since 2004, Dr Korman has performed over 1000 Laparoscopic Bariatric surgeries including 200 Lap Band procedures.

Dr. Korman is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and a Medical Expert for the California Medical Board. His interests are in minimally invasive surgery including, laparoscopic surgery and the new frontier of endo-luminal surgery. Dr. Korman’s practice focuses on laparoscopic gastric bypass, adjustable gastric banding and revisional surgery

DR. PETER D. VASH, M.D is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCLA Medical Center and Fellow of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. He is a board certified internist specializing in endocrinology and metabolism with an emphasis on obesity. He is the Past President of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians, and has also served on the Board of The North American Society for the Study of Obesity (NASSO). Dr. Vash has lectured extensively on the medical management and treatment of obesity. He has been an invited expert witness for the Senate Subcommittee concerning medical weight loss and commercial weight loss programs. He co-authored two books, The Fat to Muscle Diet and The Dieter's Dictionary, and served on the Board of Shape magazine. Dr Vash serves on the Board of Directors for the American Heart Association Western States Affiliate.
