The Aiken Senior Extrava-ganza, a health fair and vendor expo, will be at the H. Odell Weeks Activity Center on Sept. 17.
"This is a new event. It's an informal, informational-type of event," said Alicia Davis, the recreation program coordinator for the Aiken Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department.
The event will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
More than 70 vendors will set up in the Weeks Center's Gym 1 for the event.
Aiken Regional Medical Centers is one of the major sponsors and will have a booth. Parks, Recreation and Tourism will have information booth on fitness and other activities targeting senior adults.
"This is a one-stop shop so people don't have to go around to the different (health-care) businesses on their own," she said.
Ms. Davis said some health screenings would be conducted during the fair.
Ms. Davis said that although it's targeted at seniors, adults of any age who are interested in getting information on improving their health and well-being are welcome.
