Working through the vaginal opening, your surgeon will first tighten the outer vaginal muscles, then the inner muscles, and finally the muscles surrounding the vaginal opening. The result is increased friction for both partners during intercourse. The surgery is done as an outpatient procedure and recovery takes about a week.

Designer laser vaginoplasty is usually performed under a general anesthetic, which means that you are not awake during the surgery. If you want to have a spinal or epidural anesthesia instead, you can, or you can choose an intravenous sedation or even local anesthesia.
