Liposuction can take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours, depending on the complexity and location of treatments. Liposuction is generally performed as an outpatient procedure. Incisions are made in the skin and are usually ¼ inch in length and are placed in inconspicuous skin folds with minimal or no shaving of hair. Modern liposculpture offers treatment of various areas on the body, rather than just in the typically occurring problem areas.
