If you’ve experienced chronic pelvic pain for longer than six months, then chances are you could have a condition called pelvic congestion. Pelvic congestion syndrome can be linked to varicose veins in the thigh, buttock and/or vaginal area, and you could also have ovarian vein or pelvic varicose veins. You should have physical exam with a pap smear to rule out other conditions as well as verifying that your chronic pain is caused by pelvic congestion syndrome.
